Subject: coolant system tester adapter...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

vehicle: 1991 Vanagon GL, 166k+, Manual location: Wilmington, NC

Air continues to get into the cooling system. I recently repaired a leaking rear heater core and bleed the system. This fixed the issue for about a week and a half. This morning the *&%^& light came on again. No overheating issues. I'd like to do a real pressure test. In the past I "rented" a coolant pressure tester from a local auto parts store. Of course, the tested did not come with adapter for the Reservoir Tank. So I tried building one with a old cap and a bike pump. It sorta worked, but my setup was suspect, meaning I'm unsure if it was working properly.

I'd like to simply purchase the needed adapter for pressure tester. I think I may have found the correct piece, but want to be sure prior to ordering. Does this appear to be the correct adapter:

If not, can someone guide me in the right direction.
