Stu, we have been all through this a number of times on the phone and emails I sent you. Go back and check your old messages. Your not paying attention to details. I explained to you how to connect 12 volt power to your fridge. You do NOT connect anything to the black wire for testing. That black wire is coming from the thermocouple which produces a small current that lights the green LED. I did send you all the info on how that thermocouple works ! You connect 12 volt electric to the fridges power terminals just like it would be if connected in the van. I sent you and explained to you the schematics of which wire is the positive and which is the negative. Once you have 12 volt power connected then you can activate the automatic piezo mechanism.

As for the problem your having with the propane fitting, I do not understand. All barbecue fittings are a standard size and the same as the fitting on the rear of your fridge.

>>>>>>>>I didn't mean to hit a nerver there. I did read it. I tried my grill...didn't work, maybe I have something different. Maybe I can try again. But say I do get it to work with an external tank...and I can connect the blue, brown and black wires (as you said) to a battery. How do I generate the spark? Don't I need to connect the single black wire to something as well.<<<<<<<<<
