But you own a Vanagon right? <grin> This doesn't really answer your question, but if you had an amateur radio license and the right gear, I'm pretty sure you could relay to an internet connection via other ham operators. One reason I'm considering getting my license. I find cell phone coverage pretty crappy when I'm in the hills. At the very least, I would have a means of communicating if in trouble. Neil.
