I want to recommend uship.com It's like ebay in reverse. You post your shipment online and truckers bid for the job. If they have a run scheduled and you can ride your gear along, you'll get a cheap rate. If I was going to buy a non-running Westy that needed transport, I would go there. My examples: I shipped a 23,000 lb boat (14 ft wide, 50 feet long) from Ft Lauderdale to Tucson for $8,000. A 1,000 lb generator from Lake Michigan to Nogales AZ (border town) for $470.
