dear puter users we have a MacBookPro 17 " and have had it for one month less than the van-- (2 years) we use it all the time on the road ... have logged some 30, 000 KM and had the machine running a good bit of the time while on the road -- using the computer to play cd music through the tape deck using a tape deck converter with 1/4 plug in -- we also do stuff using Acrobat Pro and Word for MAc -- no issues to date.

have an inverter mounted behind the drivers seat for charging computer, phone and camera -- there has never been an issue arising from any of this gear -- being used in the vanagon while underway or stationary --

Every once and a while we watch a movie on the Mac -- while we curl up in the back on our --- ok nuff information you can figure out the rest ;) yours
