Absolutely NVC - but I'd guess someone here might know something because
people on this list know everything.  I hope this doesn't raise major flags
with the newly specified list rules

I've been drafted to find a way to present my family's tree that is more
clear than the hand-drawn pictures my cousin made.  I am looking for
freeware that will let me enter the info and be reasonably clear on the
complicated relationships among all the people.  I googled "family tree
freeware" and found the page below, which lists a bunch of different
software packages.

I was wondering whether anyone else has done this, and can recommend
software.  I didn't want to just go ahead and download something, because I
didn't know if any of these might saddle me with viruses or other garbage
that could mess up my machine.  I also don't know which might be better or
worse than others.

Any advice?  PLEASE reply off-line, I don't want to cause more off-topic
discussion with this query.

and Matilda, powered by Bob, and anxious to do her family tree too - anyone
know had her engine before she did?  Hmm, maybe getting a rebuilt engine is
like reincarnation, and she needs to figure out who she was in her past
life?

No, I don't think that qualifies as vanagon content!
