It's rather Fugly, but that may just have worked, certainly better then a rebadged chrysler minivan One thing that VW owners vie for is a slight different unique individuality. IMO why VW sold soo much (1st cause they were cheap) but for the fact there wasn't anything else like it out there. Or in the parking lot at the Big-N-Grocery or workplace.

Though that slider working around those rear fenders would require some more mechanical engineering, but not undoable.

I give this model artist a big ole applause for his innovation and patience. Though it would require a VR6 at least to tug it's butt around, and w/o AWD wouldn't work well in my snowy hilly driveway.

I'd change the cabinet which blocks walk-through from the front, but otherwise it looks great.
