Al, keep in touch as I will also be in the Pittsburgh area around the same time. New Kensington, just up river from Pittsburgh, visiting my sister and mom for Thanksgiving. We expect to get in there late on the 25th and will be leaving on the 30th. Heading then to Memphis, Padre Island and down to Bacalar, Mexico. See the _BacalarBlog_ (http://poolio.net/bacalarblog/) . Maybe we can arrange a meeting with the Pittsburgh area Vanagon gang.

>>>>>>Dear Volks, I have some family things to attend to in PA in the next two weeks or so. Any listmembers near Pittsburgh or Harrisburg, perhaps we could share a coffee. Anyway I'll be posting a trip report of the Tour des Coleurs Sauvages made through Sierra in Bessie the Charolais Camper late last month on my return.

(NVC) Details on the PA trip can be found here: http://www.ltgovernor.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt?

(NVC)For those who were waiting with bated breath for the Veterans day composition, I was admonished to not post any new things with respect to that. A search of the archives using 'Knoll and November 11' will recover previous missives. NOT required reading.

In accordance with the 'New Rules', I will be offlist until after Thanksgiving, my mail will not have a 'John Wallace' feature but I won't be actively reading, digesting, or commenting on content of the list.

If you consider your van as a possible escape vehicle (from whatever you need to escape from) what's in your food box. Spam? Chili, Rice and Beans, tofu, ramen, mice?

To quote an old friend ' What's in your BOB?' BOB = Bug-out bag or Bug-out box (RVC) Such things come to mind as SoCal burns tonight.

See you later down the road.

Pensioner, Cane Rattler, Al (choose one)<<<<<<<<
