OK, I'm about to agree with Andrew again and it's not even Christmas. ;-)
An addendum:
In Europe, the birthplace of the VW 'bus' any small vans designed to
carry people are called 'microbus' which is synonymous with the US
term 'minivan'. It is logical that microbus got shortened to 'bus'.
