What are you saying? That there might be an actual rational basis for
things VW did? Many don't cotton to that kind of talk around here.
VW made T3 variations far beyond what we got here in any given year. Of
course they had various items left in inventory as T3 production was
winding down and as the parts supply chain was ramping up for the new
T4. It would be reasonable to use up existing parts by combining them in
whatever ways were deemed suitable as well as narrowing any remaining
parts production diversity to lower common denominators. The T3 was
always primarily a commercial vehicle platform. Our market was the big
exception. At the end of production we got more of the items that were
standard in the no frills commercial versions.
