Subject: Re: Backup light switch malfunction - blinking backup lights when
              shifting

This is to follow up on the problem of malfunctioning backup lights that came on when shifting gears and in third and fourth sometimes. The problem was in fact the broken bell on the end of the selector shaft. I purchased a shaft from Daryl and it came promptly across the country in four days. Installation took 20 minutes, not including jacking up the bus, and the problem was fixed. BTW, the nose of the transmission did not have to be lowered although it was close.

Many thanks to Daryl of AA Transaxle.
