Max, I hope someone else chimes in here....I'm cutting the old rubber seals out and struggling more than expected. I'm working alone so perhaps it would be easier with someone to push out from inside while I pried gently on the outside. I'm not finding any goo/sealant/adhesive but the rubber itself seems to have bonded to the flange. My Westy is an 85 so perhaps after 23 years it's to be expected.

I have a flat and tapered on the ends plastic/nylon stick (says "Glass World" on it) that I'm running under and around the edges of the seal before I begin pushing/gently prying. I'm trying to loosen the seal's bond all around the edges. The window behind the rear cabinet will be a real PIA!

Also, I'm removing the formerly chromed plastic trim piece imbedded in the outside of the window seal FIRST. Be careful though.... as it's pulled out it delaminates and throws sharp pieces of plastic at your face. Safety glasses recommended!

Anyone have a technique or process for getting them out and not knifing the rubber stuff? Know how to get 'em in, but the removal is a bit more tazxing.
