Subject: Massive VW Bus Awning!!

Hi all Ive been doing a Prototype for some time and have the basic frame built in my garage. I started to crunch some numbers to see if it was a item that would be cost effective to produce. WELL hard to know. If your a All Quality Person, and Nothing but the best will do if it works and lasts then you would be the one who would want this hands down. But, If your the go the cheapest way known to man and believe in going to the junk yard for a .50 cent light bulb then this would not be the one for you.

This Awning is BIG. It is at its widest point 12' 8" wide x 11' Projection. It could also be Larger if Ordered that way. Mounts to the Rain Gutter and has ONLY 2 poles to the Ground. The Cover zips on ( #10 Marine Zipper ) at the base and has adjustments in it to make it tight and clean looking. Total length of each pole is 44 inches when broken down. So it can store on the roof of any VW Bus/Vanagon. It has a Skirt on it over The full length of the van to keep water from running in. To reduce shipping costs the customer will be able to purchase the tubing at most any home supply store( home depot type ). Also If tubing gets broken or lost it can be replaced Very Very easy. The Awning can be switched from Vehicle to Vehicle with a Rain gutter effortlessly. Includes All american makes as well ( with rain gutter ) Fabric is a 5 Year Limited Warrenty Boat Top Fabric that is UV Resistant and Easy to clean and Maintain. Bound Edges and completely sewn with The New Forever thread ePTFE that will last longer then the actual item it is sewn to. Also like all the other stuff I've been making there are NO Holes and NO hardware to mount or install to the Vehicle at all.

I can use a Lighter Material to maybe save on cost But it may loose the 5 year warrenty. I Could not use the Forever thread that costs 120.00 per pound. I could do alot of things but this would be the last awning you would ever need or want. I went to Tubing to get from Home Depot since Aluminum Tubing is WAY to expensive to think about anymore. Also I Could make up special Feet to mount to a Square back or even a eurovan or honda van. Not at this point though.

Roughly it is coming out to $400.00 to $450.00. Not sure if anyone would even consider it but I will still proceed with mine and get some pics to post just to see if any other Sicko might be in Need of a awning. C-ya Jonce
