I got all my fuel line replaced, again, this time with the better hose and the nylon sleeving I found. Here's a photo showing what it looks like. I'm pretty pleased with the results -- I'll keep an eye on it and report how it holds up after it's been in service for a while, and also whether I see any indications of "goo" this time.

This fuel hose is Continental ContiTech, 7.5mm high pressure hose.
