Depends on how you drive somewhat. Assuming correct alignment front and rear, correct tires pressures and type of tire....... usually the fronts wear 'roundy' and the rears wear less and straight across. Of course if you are corning hard a lot.........the fronts will wear much more.

You can just look around at poorly maintained cars left and right -the front wheels are dark with brake dust, the front tires are worn roundish, and the rears are hardly worn. - this is for two wheel drive cars with moderate power.

The tires on my vanagons hardly wear though, front or rear, left or right. Scott
