YES! (teasing)

I have an audio store right next to my favorite vanagon shop and they are easily as adept at doing audio upgrades to vanagons as the shop is at maintaining my van. The audio shop has become a vanagon specialist because of this cozy arrangement. Maybe not an easy arrangement to find everywhere but a hunt I would suggest looking into by contacting the vanagon shops that you know and trust in your area, then asking them where they send their vanagon audio work.

My audio shop can make recommendations about the best components given the van's boxiness and road noise "at speed". Yes, you can easily get components with remotes. They're almost standard now, and most upgrades will give you 1 year of satellite radio with the price of purchase. You won't want to let it lapse once you experience the range and flexablity of satellite radio. Hard to let go once you've had it IMO. If you can find a vanagon shop/audio shop connection they will be able to tell you what selections that they have that will fit your application.
