Dear Pop Top Pop

Doing this switch is really easy -- i have done one and learned a lot from my errors 1. make sure you cover everything inside the van with spark arrest material. those metal bits from all the grinding and cutting destroy the inside of glass and burn upholstery -- 2. mark with a magic marker the outline of cuts before cutting -- include a set of arrows on the cut to this side -- side of the cut 3. when removing the old pop top save every screw and every piece of metal from the inside Dont bend tug or become angry while removing old top -- this will lead to bent broken and missing bits that cost a lot to replace. TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS THAT *DO NOT* INVOLVE ALCOHOL OR INTOXICANTS OF ANY NATURE 3. choose to do the work in a place that is covered --allows full extension of the top and is free of containers holding flammable fluids. 4. a helper who is able to quietly hold the container you are putting screws into or pass you tools or screws or hold the other ned of wheat ever is invaluable. this person must be someone who you can work with with out stress.

You can see there are several mentions of keeping stress to a minimum while doing this ... this is likely one of the most important factors aside from being agile enough to crawl into the space at the angel of the pop top to fit the metal bits

anger - stress and upsettedness have no place in this delicate operation. If you are working on a pop top R - FIT - R borrow a few words from dead dog cafe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dead_Dog_Cafe_Comedy_Hour Stay Calm Be Brave Wait For the Signs

good luck yours
