Greg: Thanks for the reply, I certainly don't intend to nor want to "dis" Chris and his good work. Again, this is in NO WAY meant as disrespect to Chris. I'm not privy to the mechanisms of Chris' rapport with the H-S staff, I am not looking to hold EB without him. I just think the park is nice enough, why not use it?; the time is right, why not meet then?; and some of us could enjoy the weekend with a smaller crowd of vans.

Nothing against MAD either, IIRCC I first met MAD at the '00 EB, he's

a great guy. I checked the FMBC calendar for an alternative EB just before posting

my request on the V-list and saw nothing... my slip up? or MAD's? We may make the trip for Other Bus if we can get that weekend off... I'll recheck your referenced site.

I could see a "mid-west, mid-south and other interested souls" get together at H-S without disrespecting Chris' good work. Several van caravans meeting up with a common venue is how I look at these events. It's as much about the trip with other vans as it is getting there and enjoying the rendezvous. With a smaller number of vans in attendance I can envision a number of alternative activities. There is lots to do in the Greensboro area.

We'll see what the response is... FWIW, I've attended several FMBC events... I'm not sure any of them was not, as you say, a "cat herding ". I believe it's the nature of

us "cats" too not be herded. Taking FMBC and Chris completely out of the picture, all I'm saying is the venue is a nice one and the timing is perfect for a weekend in

NC.
