Who knows, it could have belonged to an almost-employee of mine.  Some years
ago, after I posted a help wanted ad to the Vanagon list, a list member I'd
never heard from applied for the job. He lived down south but said he wanted
to relocate to Pennsylvania .  I did my due diligence, interviewed him by
phone, spoke to all of his references, and then offered him the job on a
trial basis.

The next week he showed up for his first day of work... and turned out to be
a racist skinhead with a "white power" sticker on the back of his Vanagon!
(Funny, none of his former employers had mentioned that little tidbit;.
maybe they were like minded, or just afraid to say anything.)  Imagine his
surprise when he walked into my shop to discover that he had just driven 400
miles to work along side an African American, a Hispanic, a Jew, a lesbian,
and various long-haired freaks..  :-)   He high-tailed it out of there (much
to our relief), showed up on the Vanagon list a week later with a post that
said "Bus Depot is run by Jews!  Heil Hitler!", was instantly thrown off the
list, and crawled back under the rock he came from.
