Subject: Fryeday: interesting vans, cars,
NZ rental campers... RHD cars in Canada warning
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Virus alert! The following "VW stretch bus" site hosts a viral attack. AVOID it: www.alemad.ps/user/view.php?id=1045&course=1

Some Aussie items of interest to many listees, found when googling stretched Hiace:

Note that this is for Aussie-spec models. In Japan there are many versions and trim levels of Hiace

This is a 2nd-generation (1974-81) Hiace. I have seen similarly-done 4th-gens used as airport shuuttles in Christchurch.

http://costarica-luxury-vacations.com/transportation/privatetrans.htm LHD Hiaces are available!

For those who are interested in renting a camper in New Zealand (and I have had quite a few listees ask me about this)

. ...and for those owning RHD vehicles in Canada, TAKE NOTE:

To Canadians with imported Vans:

Just passing on the battle call to all the Canadians on the forum with a love of the Liteace/Townace/Hiace or any other import (BMW, Lotus, VW etc)...

I wanted to contact your forum with some important news about the 15-year importation rule. The government is considering a change to a 25-year importation rule. This process has been building behind closed doors for the last year without public notice or consideration. We at IVOAC (Imported Vehicle Owners Association of Canada) (http://www.ivoac.ca) received information that the draft is completed and will be submitted for signature THIS SPRING. This is not rumor; this is fact.
