Subject: Brake symptoms ?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

My brake pedal slowly goes down. Sitting at a stop recently on a slight slope, I noticed that I'd started rolling backwards without consciously letting the brake pedal ease. I began paying closer attention and I find that when I put moderate pressure on the brake pedal, it stops me, holds fine, but it goes towards the floor slowly. Give it a pump and it comes back to the top. Nothing radical, but something isn't exactly right. Is that a master cylinder problem or perhaps a wheel cylinder? I have new friction material all around and one wheel cylinder replaced at the rear about a month ago when I did the shoes and drums. No leakage that I can see with the wheels on or inside under the column and pedals. 84 van, standard trans, 5sp anybody? Don Hanson
