Dennis, I have checked my speedometer against radar and GPS. With my 195R14 Hankook RA08 tires it reads 2 mph low at 70mph. The odometer reads low as well. With shorter Bridgestone RD603 tired it was dead accurate. This is the second Vanagon, the previous an '85, that I've owned with a speedometer which was accurate. I realize this is not the norm for Vanagons, but it is what it is.
