But it Your fan is worn out. The fan should be almost silent, and nothing else on the fridge makes any noise at all. Fridgemate makes a fan that is an excellent replacement for the original, costs around $30. Some people use miniature box fans such as computers use, but they are much noisier and normally use a lot more juice for the same amount of air. The draw of the original and the Fridgemate replacement fans is about 60 milliamps.
