Wow! I was thinking of posting a "let's compare gas prices" email, but I didn't. Cheapest I've seen has been in NJ, $1.45. But in all of my travels, the cheapest I saw (a few years ago now) was in Okahoma - at that point it was $1.59 when everyone else was lots more. Maybe Oklahoma wins the "cheapest gas in the country" award? What have others seen?
