Our $64.95 one is an aftermarket European made master cylinder, whereas our $99 one is German made by an OEM supplier. (Van-Café, by comparison, charges $119 for the German one.) We have not seen any significant reliability differences between the two brands. The aftermarket one has a very slightly higher out-of-the-box return rate than the OEM one does (which may indicate slightly less stringent quality control), but both are well under 1 percent so we're looking at nearly insignificant quantities in either case. Remember that the DOUBLEDIP listmember appreciation sale is still on until midnight tonight. You can get the usual ongoing 5% listmember discount (referral code list1e) on either master cylinder (as both exceed the $50 minimum for the list discount). But if your order exceeds $100 you'll get a second 5% discount by putting DOUBLEDIP in the "comments" field. - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. ------------------------------------------------------------ + To unsubscribe from the Vanagon List send an e-mail to + listserv@gerry.vanagon.com with SIGNOFF VANAGON + in the body of the message. ------------------------------------------------------------ |
