Hey Joy, I just installed the lift-assist struts on my top and now have a gap at the back of the top in between the seal and the vans roof along the width of the van above the rear hatch. I don't know if you have a gap there or not, but that is my experience and the gap is definitely large enough to allow water to flow under it. I'd love to hear about a way to adjust these to get rid of the gap. I have fairly new seals and there was no gap back there before..
