From the picture it looks like the high beam halogen bulb
is about 10mm from centre in the horizontal plane.
Indeed that will change the beam pattern. The high beam is likely
going to be about 12% wider in the horizontal plane.
If one can figure out a safe and practical way to adjust the position
of the high beam halogen bulb, this would enable individual high and low
beam pattern adjustment like in the old style Marchal headlights
mentioned in a previous post.
On a related topic, does anyone have longer term experience with
aftermarket HID systems? Are there vendors and brands to stay away
from (bad quality from start or short lifespan)? Any particular
onse you recommend? (Particularly with Canadian outlets)
