Don't want to wire two six volts in series, as I want to have three identical batteries, eventually, so I can, at will put all three in parallel, though usually one will be isolated and act as the starting battery. > You also need to consider charging the batteries. I have a Bluesea BatteryLink which has worked well with a two battery setup, group 27 batteries. I also have a 130 or 140 watt Kyocera with BlueSky Charge Controller that hasn't been installed yet.

After using a four position selector, I can say I'd rather use a Dual Circuit Plus, http://bluesea.com/category/1/products/5511e which will allow me to put all three in parallel at will, while also shutting down the batteries in the event of a draw, or just to confuse your ghetto amateur thief as well as to kill most the electronics to increase safety when working on the car (with a few exceptions, depending on how its wired). > Are you planning to hard wire the 110v into outlets installed in the van? Yeah that makes a lot of sense too, if only for redundancy and a wide dispersion of options for an array of potential devices (if these going to be something to limit something, its going be the only thing that rears its ugly head, thats Murphy's Paraphrased Law), but my Duracell NiMH batteries need household I think....
