All other things being equal, 185's will perform better on wet, snowy or icy
roads than 205's. 205's will do better on dry roads.  Personally I favor the
185's.  On dry roads my Vanagon already feels very sure-footed.  It's during
bad weather where the improved handling is most important to me.
