I agree. Bleed that system well....then bleed some more. Make sure you are positive you got all of the old/dirty fluid out.

My experience is with the slave cylinder but I hear it holds true for the whole system. When my slave cylinder went out last year, I replaced it but didn't make sure I got all of the old fluid out. Not even three months later, the clutch system started acting up again. It took another replacement of the slave cylinder and a good bleeding to get me going again. Yours obviously took longer to find a problem but I'm sure you did a better job of bleeding than I.

I would also check the status of the fluid in the brake system. If you know it off hand, great but the brake and clutch share the same fluid reservoir so old fluid from the brakes may make it into the clutch.
