I have used several Exeltech XP 1100 inverters in extremely hot and dirty conditions in the Persian Gulf region. They were rigid-mounted to a HMMWV chassis, no air conditioning, no maintenance beyond an occasional blowing out of dust with a compressor hose. Never had a failure running a variety of equipment, ranging from laptop computers to a small air compressor, in 15 months. They're tough.
