my Westy ( 83 for sale btw ) has the propane on the driver's side......per stock installation. My Adventurewagon ( eventually for sale - extra nice one too ) has it by the sliding door.

I think I'd go for the driver's side. If you get out to be there while the guy fills it.........you're already on the right side of the van for that........very minor consideration though. Also...........'usually' the propane equipment inside is on the driver's side........and therefore it's natural to have the propane tank on the driver's side so the tank is closer to the stove/ fridge etc.

I have a Propane Tank, haven't installed it yet, was thinking of the passenger side, but what's the difference really? I have a Carat, not a Westy, and so is there really any reason why one side might be better than the other side, as far as left and right goes?
