Although it puts me at odds with most traffic flow at the gas pumps, I like having my gas filler on the passenger side. Just plain safe when having to refill on the side of the road.

I had a '68 loaf - straight model - and I put a propane tank on it. - right side. Same reason. I just felt a little safer with it there, rather than the other side. It's a lot more handy when getting in and out of the van for camping and sleeping purposes.

I have a Carat, not a Westy, and so is there really any reason why one side might be better than the other side, as far as left and right goes? > > ------------------------------------------------------------ > + To unsubscribe from the Vanagon List send an e-mail to > + listserv@gerry.vanagon.com with SIGNOFF VANAGON > + in the body of the message. > ------------------------------------------------------------ > > >
