Date: Sat, 6 Dec 2008 20:49:27 -0500 From: Kevin Mulligan <mulligan_kevin@YAHOO.COM Ron, will these fit the 86-91 Vanagons with the fiberglass bumpers? I seem to recall that their installation would interfere with the side skirts on these bumpers.

Kevin FWIW, I scoped-out a ~90 Vanagon full Westfalia Camper with full side-skirt cladding and the OE German Mud Flaps installed front and rear. Taking a closer look, kneeling down in the mud to see how they fit; the cladding was notched at the bottom to clear the mud-flaps. From my less than stellar recall, the height of the cladding looked as if they fully covered the upper-part of the mud-flaps too. Whether this was a custom-fit job I donno?

Anyway, on this particular Van they looked good and the installation was exceptional clean and well executed. Others (with Cladding) may chime-in here, to confirm if the OE Cladding is "notched" to clear around the mud flaps or if this is a cut-to-make-fit job.

Good luck with your project...
