Yeah, thats right, I can turn on the engine, but thats only adding another 70 amps (Subaru Legacy Engine). (Does that make my 3 battery setup kinda like a four battery setup when the engine is on?, or maybe more actually...)

How many batteries were in the HMMWV? Do you know their total amp hours? Did you ever use the inverter with the HMMWV's engine off?
