It wasn't a tiico, it was a homebrew I4 conversion.  We've never had a
reconversion for a functioning/salable tiico.  There are plenty of
people with reliable good experiences with the Tiico, there are also a
bunch of people with horror stories. People on both sides are not very
vocal for one reason or another. However it seems like the incidence
of both is going to decrease.
