I have this set-up in my 88 Doublecab with the HD Bilsteins. Before that I had them on my 87 Vanagon. Since I have also owned a number of lowered, raised, stock, Vanagons 2wd & Syncro, I do have some point of comparison. The set-up is definitely stiffer. Cornering is definitely improved as is handling in general. Getting in and out of the vehicle is a breeze. But unless the front bumpstops have been cut (lower), they will bottom out on even the smallest of bumps on the road. It can make a even the Bots Dots on the freeway feel like you ran over a fat man in a red suit. Cutting the bump stops makes the ride tolerble. It compares in comfort to my mid-80's 911 in comfort. From what is visible in your pic, the bumpstops might still be unaltered unless they figured out a way to reattach the shock cover.
