My 88 Wolfsburg had the middle and front section fall last winter
while I was driving, scared me half to death as it occurred abruptly
when I hit a pot hole.
I went to home depot and bought bunch of 2" or 2.5" wide industrial
washers to put in between the sections. I did the repair myself with
the help of another person and took me 45 minutes but has been rock
solid ever since.
