I have to disagree. Years ago I was on another auto related list and two jackass members started using it to communicate back and forth. These two idiots could have easily pmailed each other, but chose not to, I guess thinking that roughly 1,000 people were interested in what they had to say to each other. Their posts had nothing to with cars at all. The "moderator" had long since disappeared. I'm sorry to see what may be the beginning of the end of this list. FWIW, go check out the type2 list. List admin there will kick you off in a heartbeat if you go off topic. Just my .02.      Jeff

Moderating couldn't be fun, I'd think, and would be time-consuming. 


However I am on some unmoderated lists (well, web-based mollusc & 
Toyota forums) and though there are some silly or pointless postings, 
things still seem to go okay.
