Yes because the motor was on the floor I was able to use a flywheel lock. I had to also re-install the engine carrier to stabilise the motor. Without the carrier the motor would just want to tip in responce to the torque I was applyint to the crank pulley bolt. Pascal '84Westy

and Pascal, how did you hold the pulley and crankshaft from turning ?............. ( with engine on the floor perhaps you used an ordinary flywheel locking tool ) Scott www.turbovans.com
