Thanks Mark! I'm new to the Vanagon and it's a huge book. It would never have occurred to me to look in this section. I mostly studied wiring diagrams. If my wire were properly connected the picture would have made more sense (if I had stumbled upon it). So much to learn...

This, however will go a long way towards explaining why my idle has been so flakey. Since it's not connected, the idle stabilization control isn't getting the input it needs. Can't wait to cut into that harness and get those wires back together.
