Thats kinda what I was thinking, what about the rubber... you have to put the lower rubber in after the roll up glass (I assume), but what about the rubber at the top?

When you reinstall the front glass do you put the wing frames in first, and then the roll ups, or the roll ups and then the wing.. and then there's the rubber in three parts around the roll up windows....

And... VW really screwed up as far as the metal just behind where the electric window switches go, there is a strip of metal that curves outward (or really, as far as passengers are concerned, its inward) and will do damn good job scratching your roll up glass. There is felt above this most jutted out area, but odd that its so miserly doesn't cover enough of the area, its just a little square bit of felt.

Had someone install my glass.. either they scratched my paint during install of the glass... or the crap place that painted my Vanagon is responsible for spraying my vanagon with instantly peeling paint. No one should ever use Maaco. The argument, that so-and-so place does a good job, better than "other" Maaco's doesn't hold up to reality... its a cheap bastards fantasy. Paying them doesn't change this fantasy's delusion.

Bettery to just grab a spray can of paint and vandalize your Vanagon before ever considering Maaco. If you have a problem, their solution is to hang up on you when calling them. In today's economy especially, they need to go out of business.
