Well, maybe not exactly. The TD 1.6 had oil squirters aimed at the bottom of the pistons, better head alloy, better exhaust valves, induction-hardened #2 journal on the main crank and a couple more features that distinguish it from the run-of-the-mill NA. The eco-diesel lacked the aneroid device, but had all the other features of the TD engine.
