The ball seat is not quite the same as stock 14" steel Vanagon wheels. The diameter of the hole is the same. The diameter of the ball they are machined to fit is smaller. There is a guy on Samba selling hybrid nuts needed to properly match the diameter of the smaller ball with the larger diameter lug hole. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=656981 My guess is that one could use the stock ball nuts and just let them flatten the angle of the holes to match. My worry would be that over time the nuts would loosen so checking them from time to time might be a good idea. I would probably use different nuts myself. Mark
