I bought a set of these rims, thanks Chris! A stock 185R14 has a rolling circumference of about 1980mm. A 215/60R16 has a rolling circumference of ~2020mm, about a 2% difference. A 205/60R16 is ~2000mm, ~1% difference. From reading, a 215/60R16 might be tight for clearance. I'd really like to hear from anyone running either of the above sizes on a 16x7ET37 wheel on a 2WD Vanagon (many of the discussions on theSamba are oriented around the Syncro). I went looking for all season 205/60R16 with a suitable load rating (96 or higher). Kumho ECSTA LX 205/60R16 96V BSW, UTQR of 600-a-a, about $85 each was the best price I could find (plus shipping). Kumho also makes a Kumho ECSTA DX 205/60R16 96V, which is lavender scented (!). For a 215/60R16, a good choice might be the Falken Ziex ZE-912 215/60r16 99h @~$60 each. |
