I got my first van just a couple months ago. This will be my second. I've come to understand that a smart Vanagon owner should have a good stash of spare parts on hand. I found this van for sale as a parts machine on The Samba. It's complete and has all the spare parts I could need, although mine is a 4-speed and this an automatic.

The thing is, it's in such good shape, I'm going to feel bad about using it for parts. But I only paid $350 for it so there is no way I can amass a collection of spare parts for that small a price.

Here is what I got for $350: <http://www.kippert.com/parts_vanagon/>
