In that thread it is mentioned that the centerbore might not be big enough. MB cars use a centerbore of 66.7mm That is more than enough to fit Vanagons.

As for the lugholes, it has been my experience that most aftermarket MB steel wheels are drilled to work with both 12mm & 14mm lugbolts. I can't say for sure about these wheels since I don't have any on-hand.

Offset is fine for Syncro applications.
