Sorry to hear about your loss. Having lost my Westy to a falling tree last winter, I feel your pain. I will second Matt's comments. My insurance company's first offer was $3500, gradually increasing to $6000 "and not a penny more." We eventually settled at nearly $12,000.

As hard as it is right now, you never know what good luck might come of it. I was devastated when my Westy was totalled. So many treasured memories were wrapped up in that camper! But a few months later, I found a garage-kept replacement with 40k original miles, for less than the insurance company paid me for my '89 that had 160k miles. In the end I can say that as upsetting as it was at the time, it worked out in my favor. Hopefully you'll find that Syncro and feel the same way a year from now.
