Odd I understand. I mean if you saw 24 sneakers under someone's engine bay, would you think that was a little absurd? The point was, because there are no roadside inspections, we can almost get away with anything, at least for two years between smog checks.

While that's nice on one hand (especially if you're putting a conversion in), on the other, unless you're looking for roadside feet, there's no way of knowing what people are really doing with their cars.

If the term "illegal" is racist then I guess the solution is to use the newer and improved term, "Person-using-your-dead-mother's-social-security-number", and let people make their own determination as to whether this is legal or illegal, and whether it should or shouldn't be, legal or illegal. Let the reader wonder who those contractors are sending 1099's to, and whether living people are affected too.

As a matter of fact, I actually met someone once, who seemed to be on speed, or was just really strange, who I later found out was serving time in Federal Prison for bolting a woman into a metal box in his Pinto and crossing the border with expired tags. The Border Portal agent knew something was wrong when he saw the woman's hand.

So yeah, it actually already happens, and if knowing this is racist, then I have to give up on using words of any kind. It's politically correct to be silent. Or is it?

I'm done with this, just so you know. But, of course, there's a lot about this topic that can be said, like why do people from Latin American countries outside of Mexico affect a fake Mexican accent when they come here, just to feel like they can get a job? Why do Mexican Police harass immigrants from Latin American countries outside of Mexico who are passing through Mexico on the way to the US, yet Mexico makes political demands on the US regarding "their" citizens... Why did Mexican Federalis take a hundred dollar bill from me after I got dental work in TJ (and all five of them were in on it)? Why did the US invade California? Why did the Spanish teach Indians to scalp? Why would anyone try to pass a law that you can't approach a contractor to find work, while on a city sidewalk (the cities pass these, and the courts then find them unconstitutional)? Why did they recently arrest people for offering to do contracting work for private residences, while unlicensed, yet someone could offer to fix your brakes without a license, without violating any laws? Why is it wrong to want to work? Why did that family's house fall on them after their latest room addition? Why do the French walk like they're gay, and tie the arms of pink shirts around their necks, yet their language is so compelling beautiful and baritone masculine? Why is marijuana illegal when its in the fabric the Constitution is written on? Why do we buy expensive drugs with horrible side effects? Why are State Prisons in California segregated? Why are weights banned in prisons when we have to pay for the health care of prisoner's and everyone knows exercise improves health? Why aren't fortune cookies offered to customers of Del Taco? Why don't we use coconut oil in our food anymore when they're using the MCT's in said oil to make drugs to fight Alzheimer's? Why would anyone buy anything that Detroit makes? Do they forget how bad their last car from Detroit was?

Okay, I'm really done. Really.
