I have watched voltage measured at the battery on my '87 Syncro. When I fire it up, it is about 14.4V. Then over the next ~15+ minutes it goes down. After a while it gets to 13.8 or maybe even 13.6V. Meanwhile, my Jeep Cherokee shows 13.9V on the dash meter all the time, never varying. Well, before I start it, it shows 12.X or whatever, but when the motor is running, it never moves from 13.9. Of course, I don't know how it it is wired in.... But I don't know what to make of the two different observations. Any ideas? Richard |
